Welcome to The James Hillhouse School Counseling Page!
This website was designed to provide information to students and their families. As you can see, there is information about post-secondary options, grade specific information, a calendar of events, and links to important resources. Occasionally there may be questionnaires posted or polls created to understand the needs of the James Hillhouse High School community.
The School Counseling Department at James Hillhouse High School hopes to expose students to academic opportunities, assist with identifying possibly internship opportunities and college summer program opportunities, meet with students individually, and is here to assist/listen to students, parents, and faculty alike! Students may visit their school counselor's office at any time but specifically if they have questions, are having a problem, or would like to share happy news. The goals are to work with students within three domains: personal/social, academic, and career. The School Counseling Department is also hoping to assist our students with beginning to create their college portfolio and identifying schools/programs of interest and/or other appropriate potential post-secondary options.
Please sign up to receive quarterly email newsletters and notifications about application availability and deadlines. Also, visit the blog and subscribe to RSS feeds to receive the latest information!
We are open to any questions or suggestions that you may have. Please see the Counselor's Corner page to identify who your specific School Counselor is.
